New Release - Capitalist Domain Cleric
A new release from Duckslayer Games!
Good morning everyone!
This week I have been in (and have emerged victorious from) bitter struggles with my employer, who sought to deny me well-earned money!
Naturally, my response to this was to decide that I would make a D&D supplement satirising their ideals, and publish it, ironically with a goal to make a comparable amount to that which they denied me1, which compounds into a circle of irony which I cannot begin to unpick - am I the capitalist now2?
The Capitalist Domain Cleric
This is the latest in a short series of evil-themed subclasses I have been working on, and it seemed only fitting to focus on it this week, as a multi-billion dollar company quibbles over a couple of hundred quid! After all, the BBEG is always Capitalism!
The Capitalist Domain Clerics are devotees of the gods of greed, commerce, and wealth, such as Task, The Keeper, and (more abstractly) Zorquan3. They make use of the greed of their gods to offer coinage as tribute, which in turn empowers their spells and their abilities. Their natural edge for trade allows them to exploit trade with any settlements they pass, garnering further wealth, and as they grow in power, they can bribe even the gods into granting them additional help!
This subclass is now live on DrivethruRPG, and as a thankyou to all of my subscribers and readers alike, I have made a code to let you pick it up for just $0.75 - there’s 100 of these out there4, and every link in this page is for the discount, so if you clicked the image, don’t fret - you’re included in the offer!
And if you’re here from March onwards - or want to pay full price, for whatever reason - here’s the link to the product for you to look at ayway!
In case you missed it…
My most recent releases were “My Character is a Werewolf” and “My Character is a Werebear”, which are the start of a series I’m working on for helping to make balanced ways of playing as supernatural creatures in D&D. Normally, werebeasts are broken buffs - but with these rules, they’re balanced curses! Click the pics to go check them out!
Thankyou for reading, and happy slaying!
If you enjoy reading my articles, and want to see more, then hit subscribe!
If you’ve got ideas for monsters or articles, then let me know in the comments!
And if you’ve something for me to review for Third-Party Thursdays, then definitely message me!
And if you like what you’re reading and want to help me afford professional artists to illustrate my work for publication (and fight against the terror of AI Artwork), consider buying me a Ko-Fi!
Finally, if you love TTRPG content, then head over to DrivethruRPG - it’s packed with thrid party D&D content, unique TTRPGs, Pathfinder supplements - pretty much anything you could want for TTRPGs!
Which would be about 400 sales, which is 8 times the most I’ve ever sold for a product - but I live in hope!
If I’m the capitalist now, does that mean I can withhold money from my employer? My head hurts.
Zorquan is the god of dragon-ness, who embodies all it is to be a dragon, which basically means hoarding all the wealth to yourself whilst ferociously and needlessly guarding every penny against those who actually need it. Seemed to fit!
I wouldn’t panic - last time I did 60-odd and only had 3 takers!
